Spark for Animals Fund Grants up to $2,000 to help your idea take root

Nearly 200 years ago, Lewis Gompertz—a pioneering animal protectionist and an early advocate of plant-based eating—wrote that our lives should be lived in such a way as to “lessen the stock of pain” in the world.

The Spark for Animals Fund exists in that spirit.

We provide grants from $500 to $2,000 to individuals with promising ideas to help protect animals. You don’t need to run a nonprofit. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need a thoughtful plan, a clear purpose, and the willingness to act.

A Spark Grant can help you launch a local campaign, create educational materials, test a humane innovation, build a platform to spread humane ideas, or begin something no one else has thought to try.

If you have a good idea that could help lessen the stock of pain inflicted on animals, and a grant of $500 to $2,000 could help get it off the ground, we’re ready to provide the spark.
